dc.description.abstract | Many studies concerning augmented reality (AR) in the eld of edu- cation report positive results. Most of these studies compare AR teaching methods with traditional teaching methods. Due to the great di erence between these methods the source of the positive results cannot be ascer- tained. In this study an AR learning experience is compared to a similar non-AR learning experience, where the only di erence is the AR-unique quality vision-haptic visualisation. The results showed no signi cant ef- fect of AR on learning performance (p = 0.239). Possible explanations of the results are the application of vision-haptic visualisation, the small sample size or that vision-haptic visualisation is not bene cial for the learning outcome. Future research could repeat the experiment with a larger sample size and investigate other AR unique qualities in a similar manner. | en_US |
