Abstract
'Female desire in the UK teen drama Skins' is an analysis of the mise-en-scene in the episode 'Sketch'. This research is a response to Susan Berridge's conclusion about Skins' conservative ideologies concerning sex(uality). It focuses in particular on gendered desire, the gaze and masquerade through the use of the private, public and in-between space.
