Abstract
This thesis researched factors that motivated young Chinese women who live in metropolis and work for multinational corporations to consume luxury bags. This thesis combined the fashion theory, disciplinary society theory, and the society of control theory to examine why young Chinese women believe spending one month's salary on a bag is desirable.
