Abstract
Fashion is a physical phenomenon, or so scholars have argued in the past. For my Bachelor’s Thesis I have researched the novel phenomenon that is NFT fashion, a form of digital fashion that has gained immense popularity and attention over the pandemic. Often connected to the debates on fast fashion and sustainability, NFT fashion brings new and exciting dimensions to the fashion system, which I have looked at using posthuman theory and visual analysis. I have consulted the works of scholars such as Rosi Braidotti, Anneke Smelik, Liroy Choufan, Annamari Vänskä and many more. As case study, I have chosen Amsterdam-based virtual fashion house The Fabricant.
