The ecological crisis is an urgent phenomenon facing our world today. For the Christians and the Church in particular this reality remains a serious challenge. In their special vocation and commitment to love and care for God’s creation, the Christians’ response to this issue is of paramount importance and central in their life of faith. Aware about the ongoing discussions about the role of the Eucharist in ecological issues, this thesis explores the role of the Eucharist with special reference to its different elements. The contribution of this paper to the current ecological debates is a reminder that the constitutive parts of the Eucharist have a tremendous ecological character. In other words, the thesis tries to re-connect the Christian liturgical life with ecological awareness.en_US
