Abstract

In this research the intervention in a multinational organization is researched on the potential success of the intervention by performing a diagnostic gap-analysis of the situation in this organization and its intervention and the theories regarding designing and processing such intervention. In order to do so, a theoretical model called the 3D-model is used as a theoretical framework to look at the situation in the organization. Six in-depth interviews have been conducted to get insights into the situation in the organization regarding the design and processes around the intervention. The gap between the theoretical model and the actual situation in this organization is identified and analyzed in order to say something about the potential for a successful outcome of the intervention. Although some critical problems have been identified, resulting from mistakes made in the beginning of the intervention, the possibility of a successful outcome of the intervention can still be achieved if the organization takes several countermeasures identified in this research to prevent the issues from further affecting the intervention.
