For the sake of transforming our world into a more just and sustainable place, humanity must go beyond the current state of development and acknowledging some are more vulnerable than others. Both, environmental justice and women's rights actors, make efforts to create human well-being and to protect the environment. In this thesis it was explored how the collaboration and integrative approach of these actors could enhance transformations towards sustainability and equity. First, the variety in perspectives within collaborative actions strengthens the integrative approach. In return, this increases the opportunity to simultaneously address eight leverage points to enhance transformations. Second, within the collaboration various transformative actor roles were discovered. Some organizations’ strengths can be found in externalizing values, other focus in providing support and legitimization. Thereby, all organizations seem to prioritize network building. The roles work complementary and enhance the collaboration to achieve systematic change. Last, the differences in roles and perspectives explains transformations are enhanced through multiple entry points in the practical, political and personal sphere. If the actors live up to their proposed strategies, missions, and visions it is therefore likely that the collaboration will lead to actions which support transformations towards sustainability and equity.en_US
