Abstract
This thesis investigates the important changes in sports-audience interactions that result from the transition of media from traditional formats to new media platforms. The study examines historical backgrounds, theoretical frameworks, and individual case studies in order to provide an in-depth comprehension of how social media and streaming platforms have changed the landscape of sports fandom. The influence of social media on public perception, narrative-driven material on streaming platforms such as Netflix's "Drive to Survive," and the incorporation of interactive features into regular broadcasts are also critically examined.
