This Bachelor Thesis seeks to answer the Research Question: “How are the references to Greek mythology in the American novels The Lightning Thief and The Hunger Games part of cultural memory?” The first two chapters analyse the intertextual link between the American novels and Greek mythology. The last chapter focusses on how the novels through making these references shape and partake in cultural memory.en_US
