Abstract
Travel on public transport in the Netherlands has been free since 1991. It has since then grown to be a pillar of student life in the Netherlands. However, recent developments in the mobility market do not fall under the public transport umbrella. As such, these are not an attractive travel options for students. Another development in the transport sector is mobility as a Service. This new concept aims to improve access to these new developments in mobility. This provides an opportunity to explore a future of the Studentenreisrecht as a Mobility as a Servic-based concept. This thesis aims to find the institutional perspectives on Mobility as a service and find out if the Studentenreisrecht can and be transformed to a Mobility as a Service based concept.
