Abstract
This study explores the role of neurodiversity networks in fostering equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) for neurodivergent individuals in the workplace. Through qualitative interviews with neurodivergent employees at Organization X, this research examines how such networks influence the personal, group, and organizational levels of inclusion. The findings highlight the nuanced experiences of neurodivergent employees, emphasizing the importance of personalized accommodations, recognition, and supportive community dynamics. The study reveals that while these networks create a sense of belonging and empowerment, challenges remain, particularly in distributed leadership and comprehensive organizational support. The research also underscores the need for tailored performance evaluations and inclusive leadership practices to unlock the potential of neurodivergent employees. Additionally, the study identifies significant gaps between the organization’s inclusive portrayal and the actual experiences of neurodivergent employees, calling for more substantive policies and specific neurodiversity metrics. This research contributes to the understanding of neurodiversity in the workplace and provides practical recommendations for enhancing EDI initiatives.
