The purpose of the study is A when requesting asylum in the Netherlands. The analysis reveals that the administrative frame, the human-interest frame, and the frame of human-dignity are the main frames used by the organizations. This was always combined with the responsibility background frame, and sometimes with other background frames such as the control and return-home frame. These frames are more welcoming towards asylum seekers compared to the frames that are found in the media, such as the conflict frame, the criminality frame, or the frame of genuineness. The alignment of these frames with the organizations’ goals suggests they serve the organizations’ interests. By recognizing the frames and by acknowledging the intent behind the chosen frames, readers are encouraged in critical thinking when examining the discourse surrounding asylum issues. ‘The power of refugees’
