Abstract
Current understandings of inclusion and the application of intersectionality to organization studies have been subject to similar critiques, for instance, for replicating rather than tackling exclusive structures, and for neglecting the systems of power that cause oppression, respectively. Scholars have called attention to the need to expand critical explorations of how organizations attempt to do inclusion. Against this background, the present thesis introduces the concept of critical inclusion practices drawing on empirical material from a case study at a Swedish telecom company, analyzing the inclusion practices that result from a series of inclusion workshops conducted at the company. With the concept of critical inclusion practices, I have explored the possibilities of uniting theories from scholarly work on inclusion and intersectionality. The study shows that working with inclusion requires attention to intersectionality if the aim is to generate critical inclusion practices.
