In this study, physical tasks used in combination with a BCI in order to achieve 2D control are compared. One subject was trained in achieving 1D BCI control using the auditory imagery and spatial navigation mental tasks. This control was then combined with either a joystick (hand task) or a buttonbox placed on the ground (foot task) to achieve 2D control. In the main condition, the BCI controlled the vertical direction and the physical task controlled the horizontal dimension. Another condition was set in which the control dimensions were reversed; the BCI controlled the horizontal dimension and the physical task controlled the vertical dimension. There were no differences found in any condition. 2en_US
