Abstract

This thesis will expose the main aspects of the research that I will conduct on short food supply chains and their link to food sovereignty. I will start with explaining why this topic has been chosen as well as its relevance. From there I will draw a first set of sub questions, determined by the main research question. We will then develop from there a conceptual framework and see which paradigm applies best to it, and finally analyse data and other findings, in order to draw a conclusion to our research. We will analyse the data from the Lagarrigue AMAP, a short food supply chain in Toulouse, and compare it to other similar initiatives, in order to get a grasp of what can be an enhancing or a limiting factor for these initiatives to help reach a state of food sovereignty.
