dc.description.abstract | This thesis study project studied the possibility of using a real time eye tracking algorithm in a cognitive exibility enhancement application. The algorithm was required to run on an unmodi ed tablet device, that runs on the Android operating system. A prototype application has been built to test the eye tracking algorithm proposed in this study. 13 subjects participated in the experiment, that was conducted on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4. The results showed that the eye tracking algorithm was capable of processing 2:33 frames per second (2:33Hz), with an accuracy error of 279:49 pixels. Standardised for screen size, this error was 0:218. This shows that it is possible to built a real time eye tracker, that can be used on a tablet device. The algorithm proposed here is considered to be useful in the Cognitive Flexibility Enhancement Application Project (CFEA). | en_US |
