Abstract
My thesis set about comparing the Greek and Latin (that is to say, Western European Catholics) elites in Cyprus during the time that the island was ruled by the French house of Lusignan. Over a time span of over three centuries, the elites of this island were the point of my study in regard to their religious practices, their interrelations and their views of each other.
In doing so, I compared how Latin and Greek elites differed, where the two groups had common ground and how circumstances evolved over time, following a broadly linear scale for each point of study.
