dc.description.abstractThis thesis examines currents trends of minimalism and considers the ways in which it is compatible with theories of ritual, spirituality, and asceticism. This is accomplished by a literature review of the relevant theories, which inform a series of questions used to guide an investigation into contemporary examples of minimalism.
