This exploratory study was conducted for DLL, an international vendor finance company. The study aimed at gaining insight into the environmental, social and economic impact of DLL’s financing in the food and agriculture sector. The insights were presented in a Sustainability Impact Assessment (SIA) overview, portraying the impact of fourteen F&A subsectors on nine impact indicators, based on 2018 data. The SIA showed that DLL’s Net Impact of the F&A portfolio in 2018 was €4.8 billion. Furthermore, a System Dynamics model was built to simulate sustainability strategies. Implementing subsector diversification and sustainable asset strategies (along with the existing strategy of 10% growth per year) could increase DLL’s Net Impact to €10.4 billion in 2025 (as opposed to €7.7 billion if the strategies were not implemented).en_US
