dc.description.abstract | In this article the relation between national culture and the use of intuition in strategic decision-making by managers is researched. A random sample of 450 respondents with 26 different nationalities was used to research the relation between Hofstedeās cultural dimensions (2010) and intuition in strategic decision-making. A multiple regression analysis was used in order to analyse the data. No significant relationships were found between intuition and the cultural dimensions of Hofstede, however the use of rationality in strategic decision-making processes appears to be influenced by the degree of power distance of national culture. Another important finding of this study is the relationship between gender and the use of intuition in strategic decision-making processes, females have the tendency to rely more on intuition than male counterparts. | en_US |
