dc.description.abstract | The transport sector is responsible for a lot of CO2-emissions, so we need more sustainable solutions. One solution could be mobility hubs that centralize several modes of public transport in one place, making it easier to change modes. However, for such a mobility hub to be successful, it is important to take into account the opinions of the stakeholders involved in that project. With the help of the following research, it will be determined what exactly the expectations of these different stakeholders are. This will be done on the basis of the case study of the redesign project of the Nijmegen train station. For this purpose, expert interviews with various stakeholder and surveys with the current users of the train station are done and documents regarding mobility hub design are analyzed. These studies have shown that both stakeholders and users place particular value on the functionality and consider aesthetic and social enhancement through various commercial offers to be of secondary importance. In addition, it emerged that there is a general need for closer cooperation between stakeholders and users, which must take place earlier in the planning process for the users' wishes to be taken into account as much as possible. | |
