Remember The Ladies: a history of the strategies implemented by the reproductive rights movement during a century of activism

Abstract

Recently, the abortion debate has been front and center in the United States. With a Republican president and an increasingly conservative Supreme Court, pro-life supporters see a chance to overturn the divisive Supreme Court decision of Roe v. Wade, which established the right to abortion. Now more than ever, the reproductive rights movement needs to continue the fight to protect reproductive rights. Which tools do they have at their disposal, and how to they use these? Strategies implemented by the reproductive rights movement will be compared at different moments in time in order to determine where reproductive rights activists are today.
