Abstract
The Transition towards a Circular Bioeconomy potential feasibility and achievability, is a game between drivers of the transition and challenges of it. The study explores the relationships and links of those, and gradually uncovers which are the threats and limitations to the process, as well as the key drivers of it, in regards to the feasibility and achievability potential of such a transition process. This research, through the lens of the Multi-Level Perspective, aims at enabling the reader to get a better grasp and understanding of what a transition process might look like, here within the framework of transitioning towards a sustainable paradigm of a circular bioeconomy, as has been chosen to be the most desired future for achieving sustainability in modern societies. By starting with an analysis on the role and implications of technological innovation, in this transition towards a circular bioeconomy, the study enables the unravelling of potential practical tools and solutions to the transition process, as a way to make it feasible at all and allows a deeper comprehension of the challenges ahead and provides ideas on how to solve those. It is a gradual, incremental and multifactorial process, to be understood within its complexity.
