Abstract
Innovation is seen as important for companies in realizing competitive advantage, with
leadership playing a crucial role in fostering it. However, the relationship between inclusive
leadership and innovation remains underdeveloped. This study examines how knowledge
hiding and knowledge sharing mediate the relationship between inclusive leadership and
innovation. A quantitative survey was conducted among 188 employees, reporting their
perceptions of inclusive leadership, knowledge hiding, knowledge sharing, and innovation.
Findings indicate that inclusive leadership significantly enhances innovation. Furthermore,
both knowledge hiding and knowledge sharing partly mediate this relationship. While
knowledge hiding significantly reduces innovation, knowledge sharing shows a stronger
significant positive influence. Thus, promoting knowledge sharing may be a more effective
strategy for enhancing innovation than only focusing on reducing knowledge hiding. These
findings contribute to a deeper theoretical understanding of how inclusive leadership fosters
innovation within and offer practical guidance for organizations to stimulate innovation by
enhancing inclusive climates and promoting knowledge sharing
