The study investigates the relationship between the entrepreneurial passion of Dutch eCommerce entrepreneurs and their entrepreneurial intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Furthermore, the relationship between their entrepreneurial motivation, both intrinsic and extrinsic, and their firm performance was also investigated. Specifically, only entrepreneurs aged between 16 and 24 that only sell on the Dutch marketplace Bol.com were included. After conducting a parallel mediation analysis, it was concluded that no significant relationship exists between entrepreneurial passion and entrepreneurial motivation, both intrinsic and extrinsic. Furthermore, also no significant relationship was found between entrepreneurial motivation, both intrinsic and extrinsic, and firm performance. The three covariates, gender, educational level, and business-related study were included in the study. It was concluded that men have overall greater firm performance than women, that entrepreneurs who did not follow a business-related study will likely have higher entrepreneurial intrinsic motivation and that entrepreneurs who did follow a business-related study will likely have higher revenue compared to entrepreneur who did not follow a business-related study.en_US
