From Angel in the House to the New Woman; The Female Characters of the Infernal Devices Trilogy

Abstract

This thesis explores the manner in which the author of the Infernal Devices trilogy portrays different female stereotypes of the Victorian era. By analysing the manner in which she presents the different character types, this thesis analyses whether the author shows any preferences to a certain stereotype.
