Abstract
Bachelor's thesis about the role of media like television and movies in the world. Joseph Nye coined the term soft power in 1990. Afterwards, it became a widely used term indicating that there is more to power than politics, economics or the military. In this thesis, the concept of soft power is thoroughly analyzed with the help of the HBO series The Sopranos, which is used as an example of soft power.
