Abstract

This investigation on vocabulary teaching and learning within the English Language and Culture departement at Radboud University yielded that vocabulary acquisition is hindered by a lack of active engagement by students, too little class time devoted to the process and student attitude deeming that vocabulary acquisition if of lesser importance.
