Abstract

This research investigates why most countries that are ranked low on passport indices are predominantly Islamic countries. This research consist mostly of desk research that uses existing literature and different tools that compare countries with each other. The focus of this research is finding out if there is a connection between religion, the Islam, and the mobility of people globally. While investigating this phenomenon from different angles, the most outstanding results are that there does seem to be a relation between these two variables. This connection can be explained by the current wave of terrorism and the framing of Muslim communities.
