This thesis tries to report on possible differences in public transport use between youngsters and older people in the Netherlands, and how this effect on relevant aspects of quality of life. The objective of the study was to gain more insight into the knowledge of the relationship between public transport use and quality of life. Whilst there are a lot of aspects that construct quality of life for people, just a few of the aspect were relevant to examine the relationship with public transport use. For each of the relevant aspect, a hypothesis was set up to test if there were differences between the age groups. These hypothesis were tested with the use of a survey. By analysing the results of the survey, there can be concluded that there are no significant differences between youngsters and older people on all relevant aspects of quality of life which have a relation with public transport use. Despite the fact that there are no differences, there can be concluded that most of the aspects are influenced by public transport use of people. Extensive research can improve the reliability of the results.en_US
