dc.description.abstractPurpose: this thesis aims to generate understanding on the perception of entrepreneurs regarding the association between cultural intelligence (CQ) in the context of entrepreneurial organizations. Methodology: nine semi-structured interviews are used to answer the thesis question. By asking probing questions a deeper understanding is generated on the subjects discussed in the interviews. Conclusion: the results of this thesis point out that entrepreneurs perceive cultural intelligence to be positively associated with entrepreneurial performance. In other words, in the perception of the entrepreneurs Metacognitive CQ, Cognitive CQ, Motivational CQ, and Behavioral CQ result in innovation and organizational growth. Implications: this thesis generates knowledge on the association between CQ and entrepreneurial performance which has not been researched before. Future research can generate knowledge on the extent to which CQ is associated with entrepreneurial performance. Other researchers can generate insight on the tools that may enhance the CQ of entrepreneurs.en_US
