Abstract
The tourist industry is one of the
most important industries these days
worldwide. People earn more money,
they have more spare-time and no
single place on earth is unreachable
nowadays, so tourism is getting
more and more popular. This
research is looking for the effects of
this ever-growing industry. This
research is especially look for the
economical effects of tourism in the
Hardangerfjord region in Norway.
The statistics support the idea that
the tourist industry is booming
business and still growing. The
statistics also show that tourism has
a large share of the economy of the
Hardangerfjord region. But, the local
population is the only one who can
explain how these economical effects
are actually experienced. Besides the
experiences with tourism nowadays,
is the local population also asked
about their vision for the future with
regard to tourism in their region.
