Although the number of platforms and platform workers is growing, studies show different outcomes on the impact of digital platform work on quality of work. The research outcomes vary considerably from one sector to another which could be explained by the wide diversity in digital labour platforms between sectors. However, despite these different outcomes there is hardly any research been conducted in the healthcare sector. Therefore, this study focus on the impact of digital labour platforms on quality of working life experience of care workers in elderly care. The concepts of digital labour platforms and quality of work are defined by taking common dimensions from previous studies as a starting point. Based on the theoretical framework, sensitizing concepts and topics for the interview guide were developed. A qualitative single case study was conducted by interviewing 11 respondents among the three parties involved in platform work: a digital labour platform, platform workers and an end-user. This research has an exploratory character, which maps out how the aspects of digital labour platforms are organised in the healthcare sector. The focus is on the triangular relationship in platform work in the healthcare sector and provides insight into how the three parties impacts the way how digital platform work is carried out and the effect of this on the quality of work. The results of this study contributes to the scientific and practical knowledge about the impact of digital labour platforms on the quality of work of platform workers within the healthcare sector.en_US
