Abstract

The present study investigated the relationship of perceived organizational support (POS) with work-family conflict (WFC) and with work-family enrichment (WFE) among hospitality employees, as well as the extent to which job crafting (JC) moderated each of the two relationships. An online survey was distributed among the hotel employees of a hotel chain organization. Eventually, 140 individuals completed the survey. Two multiple regression analyses revealed that POS is a significant predictor of both WFC and WFE, but the relationships between the interaction of POS with JC and the two dependent variables were insignificant. JC was a significant predictor of WFE, but not of WFE. This indicates that high POS contributes to both decreased WFC and increased WFE, but engaging in JC does not matter for either of the two relationships. JC is connected to enhanced WFE, but not to WFC. Keywords: organizational support, work-to-family interface, conflict, enrichment, job crafting
