Abstract
This study examined the impact of health management on the wellbeing of older employees, with a specific focus on the influence of gender. As organizations face challenges related to an aging workforce, it becomes crucial to maintain the health and wellbeing of employees to enable them to work beyond retirement age. This study found that good health management practices positively contribute to the wellbeing of older employees. However, contrary to initial expectations, the results indicate that gender does not have a significant impact on the relationship between health management and wellbeing. The study recognizes that men and women may have different health concerns, and gender disparities could affect access to health management programs. By highlighting the importance of a gender perspective in addressing occupational health and safety, this research emphasizes the need for equal access to health management practices for all employees. Overall, the findings suggest that effective health management can improve the wellbeing of older employees, regardless of their gender.
