Change of perspective.

Abstract

In this thesis, we examined the phenomenon of change of perspective or modulation between French and Dutch. By means of a theoretical research we found out that while a vast amount of information is available on modulation in general, the information on modulation between French and Dutch is scarce. In order to fill the gaps in the information we designed our own practical research to examine the use of modulation between French and Dutch in practice and discovered that modulation is an indispensable translation tool for the modern translator when switching between the French and Dutch language system.
