dc.description.abstract	The word "fandom" may be fairly new in terms of mainstream usage, but the phenomenon behind it is not: fans have been talking about media for much of cultural history. With the advent of the internet, social media, and the writing processes that they result in, TV shows like Supernatural have now become increasingly interactive. This thesis seeks to explore the last of the fifteen seasons of Supernatural in regards to the relationship between fans and media producers (in the widest sense of the word). The main focus thereby lies on the homoeroticism of the "Destiel" pairing of the show, analyzing how it is used in language to establish a dialogue between both parties and is also utilized in a struggle for power. It will be shown that the largely queer fandom has gained an increasing influence on the production and examined how the final season relates to this process.	en_US
