Abstract
This thesis focuses on biblical references in medieval lunaries. Entries from different lunaries are examined in order to show the biblical references. In the first chapter, the term 'lunary' is explained, in terms of what it is and how it works. Different types of lunaries are subdivided, and the differences and similarities are mentioned. In the second chapter, different biblical references in lunaries are treated and explained. The conclusion summarises the main points of these two chapters. The possible reasons why biblical references occur in medieval lunaries are mentioned as well in the conclusion.
