dc.description.abstractDue to the COVID-19 pandemic that hit the entire world, countries have decided to close schools, colleges, and universities as a precaution to measure its spread. This has fuelled major concerns about the teachers’ wellbeing during the pandemic and their ability to successfully deliver instructions remotely. This research aims to present a deeper insight on how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted how teachers assess their job satisfaction and performance satisfaction while working from home due to the restrictions of COVID-19 during this period of adversity. To answer the research question, nine teachers were interviewed. The data used stems from primary data originating from qualitative semi structured interviews. The interviews led to in-depth insights into the research problem as the respondents could share their experiences regarding working from home, job satisfaction, and performance satisfaction. The results showed that the interviewed teachers had similar experiences, as they all had a hard time working from home. Because the COVID-19 pandemic was so sudden, they did not feel like they had enough time to prepare their lessons and devise a new way of working. The lack of interaction the teachers had with their colleagues and students negatively affected their job satisfaction. Finally, the results showed that the teachers helped the students to their best capacity and even helping them after office hours. They would finish all their work on time. Even when they got distracted by different factors, the teachers would still be productive while they were not satisfied with their job. This qualitative research has shown that the teachers who were working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic were less satisfied with their job. Although the teachers were less satisfied with their job, they were satisfied with their work performance.en_US
