Around the end of 2010 protests started up in several countries around North Africa. The civilian population started peaceful protests against the authoritarian regimes. They wanted to end the oppression and corruption and improve living conditions. The objective of this research is to find out whether the political crisis in North Africa and the Middle East influence migrants living in the European Union with their home country in North Africa or the Middle East. Does it change their identity? Does it influence their daily living conditions and if so, how? The scale of the crisis is enormous, thousands of people protest active. Besides the active protesters, millions of people living in the countries where protests take place/toke place are involved. Administrative changes as a result of the protests will affect them immediately or in the near future.en_US
