Abstract

This paper summarizes and analyses the results of an experimental study concerning the effects of personal relevancy and visual representation of Covid-19 data on understanding and perception of the graphics used. The study found no significant effects of either independent variable on either dependent variable, but nevertheless urges for more research to be done in this field, as the literature it is based on strongly suggests that relevancy and visual representation could have an impact on understanding and perception of graphical data in a real-world setting.
