dc.description.abstract | In Shawi (or Chayahuita) language, the suffix -ri shows an ergative distribution but its use is not systematic. I thus analyzed linguistic data obtained through elicitation and recording of narrative texts and conversations in order to figure out when the suffix -ri is used and to propose an account of its use. | en_US |
