dc.description.abstract | This master thesis looks at the use and non-use of sneakers. A subject in which little research has been done, this is in the field of sneakers, but also on the use and non-use of objects that are part of a collection. By means of the consumer culture theory search for literature has been done within the marketing but also outside of the marketing. This resulted in a theoretical framework that has laid the foundation for my interviews. By means of interviews and listening to a podcast about sneakers I came to my findings. In this podcast a number of reasons are mentioned why people use certain sneakers from their collection and why they do not use other sneakers. This master thesis provides new insights in the field of use and non-use and also gives a unique insight into the world of sneaker culture. | en_US |
