Shiwakoti et al. (2011) introduced a mathematical egress1 model which represents collective human crowd evacuation under panic conditions on a basic level. Helbing et al. (2000) and Kelley et al. (1965) state characteristic features of egressing humans of which four features were not applied to the model. In this project the original model of Shiwakoti et al. is replicated and enhanced by sup- plementing the features mentioned by Helbing et al.. The theory is that the outcome of the simulation is more closely related to the reality if all characteristics of humans are included. The results of replicating this model deviates from to the results stated in Shiwakoti et al. (2011). To further improve and extend the replication, more information is required from the authors. However a start has been made to extend the model stated in Shiwakoti et al. (2011) with the characteristics given by Helbing et al.. 1The behaviour of evacuatingen_US
