Abstract
In deze thesis is emperisch onderzoek gendaan naar de ‘socio-economic ways’ Transportation Network Companies (TNCs) de maatschappij beïnvloeden in Yogyakarta, Indonesië. Dit aan de hand van bestaande gobale theorieën over Globalization en The network society, maar ook specifiekere theorieën over TNCs zelf. Aan de hand van afgenomen interviews worden overeenkomsten en verschillen benoemd op vlak van sociale aspecten, economische aspecten en de impact op bestaande vervoersmiddelen in Yogyakarta.
