dc.description.abstract | This paper extended the research done on the MPQ's multicultural personality dimensions so far by having collected data in a professional context including several companies. On the basis of this study's results it can be concluded that the MPQ dimensions Cultural Empathy and Emotional Stability are to some extent related to foreign language mastery. Furthermore, some significant differences were found between internationally and non-internationally oriented employees on the MPQ dimensions. Another relevant finding was that group membership (i.e. internationally or non-internationally oriented employee) appeared to be possible to predict by means of some MPQ dimensions and the number of foreign languages one masters. With respect to factors influencing the MPQ dimensions, only nationality resulted to have a significant effect on the MPQ dimensions. | en_US |
